Synopsis

Making deliveries through apps is a reality for many Brazilians, including those living abroad. This film, in turn, explores the lives of Brazilian riders living in Dublin. Through informal conversations with these delivery workers, they share with the interviewer how music, podcasts, and the city’s sounds both ease and enable their daily work.

Context

A short documentary resulting from the 7th NUPEPA/ImaRgens Workshop, at the University of São Paulo (USP), in partnership with ICNOVA, at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, held between June 23 and July 23, 2020.

Following the production and distribution of this documentary, we published an article in GIS – Gesto, Imagem e Som – Revista de Antropologia, reflecting on our experience in this project and contributing to discussions on soundscapes and Musicar Local.
