Syllabus
“Documentary with Archival Footage: Reflections and Practices” is an eight-session course that uses the research of pre-existing materials and film editing as strategic elements for producing independent films with low costs or even no budget.
The course develops theoretically by introducing students to the fundamental ideas and canonical films of this traditional documentary genre, and practically, with the main goal of demonstrating that filmmaking, especially for beginners, does not exclusively depend on large resources to exist.
