Synopsis

An institutional video produced for the project “Inclusive – Community Networks for Virtual Learning Environments” during the 2nd edition of “Emergency Laboratory – COVID-19 – Reconfiguring the Future”, an initiative by Silo – Art and Rural Latitude in partnership with other institutions, collectives, and laboratories, from June 15 to 21, 2020.

The “Inclusive” project aims to develop an autonomous network system for sharing educational materials in text, audio, and video formats and to promote this methodology for application in communities facing connectivity resource scarcity and social isolation.

An instructional guide was also created to explain the concept and implementation of the system. A low-cost solution was developed to set up a local media server, where content can be uploaded and made available to the local community via a wireless network, accessible through mobile phones or computers. The network is managed by the community itself, operates entirely on free software, and functions independently of Internet access.
